Eloka Paul Nwamu (born 25 June 1995), professionally known as Eloswag, is a Nigerian digital marketer, dancer, content creator, and disc jockey. He gained widespread recognition across Africa in 2022 as a reality television contestant on Big Brother Naija: Level Up.
Early Life and Education
Nwamu was born and raised in Lagos State, Nigeria. He discovered his passion for entertainment during his youth. He completed his secondary school education at Sacred Heart College in Ibadan, where he formed his stage name “Eloswag” while participating in a student rap group.
For his tertiary education, Nwamu relocated to Ghana, attending Wisconsin International University College Ghana from 2015 to 2019. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology (with concentrations alternating in Computer Science).
Career
Prior to entering the reality television space, Nwamu combined his IT background with creative arts, launching a career as a freelance social media marketer, videographer, and professional choreographer.
Big Brother Naija
In July 2022, Nwamu was introduced as one of the 24 housemates competing in Season 7 of the Nigerian reality show Big Brother Naija (Level Up). He achieved initial prominence on the show by winning the very first Head of House (HoH) arena games. He went on to win a subsequent HoH title in week four, establishing a reputation for athletic and physical performance.
During his time on the show, Nwamu sparked significant socio-political discussions across Nigerian digital media when he wore a hoodie bearing the inscription “Be Obedient and Useful”. The phrase was widely viewed as a reference to the Peter Obi 2023 presidential campaign, prompting the show’s organizers to caution him for breaching the program’s strict anti-political expression rules. Nwamu was evicted on Day 50 of the competition, finishing in 14th place.
Post-BBNaija and Media Projects
Following his departure from the Big Brother house, Nwamu transitioned fully back into the mainstream Nigerian entertainment sector. Leveraging his increased digital footprint, he operates actively as an Afrohouse and Amapiano disc jockey, creative content creator, and independent brand ambassador. He frequently releases music mixes and dance content across platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
